Program Notes:
As a northern-born, southern-raised transplant, I have always had a glorified ideal of snow. At the end of my first undergraduate semester was my introduction to it, although there was more ice than anything. Despite only being an inch or two, white and dirt-laden snowmen were erected around campus, and students were having snowball fights before they went home for break. Still though, I was left wondering what would happen if we had multiple days of this phenomenon, and so it led me to think:
When Snow Falls, Its Reach is Breathtaking, as a white blanket softly envelops the ground stretched out as far as the eye can see.
When Snow Falls, Its Dance is Elegant, as a single snowflake is blown all over by the wind on its descent to the ground, creating an exciting adventure.
When Snow Falls, Its Storm is Relentless, and the beauty and excitement previously told dissipate into chaos.
