Broken Mirrors & Black Magic is my first delve into micro-tonal music. Quarter tones are used in this piece to invoke an eerie, unsettling texture with brief ramp-ups of intensity followed out but drawn-out decays. Later in the piece, an unstable scherzo-like section spirals out of control and succumbs to dissonance.
